It was a beautiful Saturday morning and there was lots of activity as the Derby dogs went to work. We were in the eighth brace, and Rose handled herself well. She successfully pointed at three different intervals, ran well and I wish we had more pictures of her at work. During the lunch break we were happy to learn that she had earned herself a third place ribbon and, according to the judges, it was a very close decision as to which dog obtained which placing on the first three placements for this Derby competition.
Rose is pictured here with the man who has done her training, Earl Fowls. This is her first field trial and her first placement and we expect that she will continue to learn and will continue to make us proud of he!
